They say memories are golden well maybe that is true but I never wanted memories, I only wanted you.

A million times I needed you, a million tears I cried, If love alone could have saved you, you never would have died.

In life I loved you dearly, In death I love you still. In my heart you hold a place no one could ever fill.

If tears could build a stairway and heartache make a lane, I'd walk the path to heaven and bring you back again.

Our family chain is broken, and nothing seems the same. But as God calls us one by one, the chain will link again.

Missing You

John I wish heaven had a phone, so I could hear your voice again. I thought of you today, but that is nothing new. I thought about you yesterday, and days before that too. I think of you in silence, I often speak your name. All I have are memories and picture in a frame love and miss you John Anne xxxxxxx

or you can smile because John has lived

You can close your eyes and pray that John come back
or you can open your eyes and see all John left

Your heart can be empty because you can't see John or you can be full of the love you shared

You can turn your back on tomorrow and live yesterday
or you can be happy for tomorrow because of yesterday

You can remember John and only that he,s gone
or you can cherish his memory and let it live on

You can cry and close your mind, be empty and turn your back
or you can do what he'd want: smile, open your eyes, love and go on.
